News from news.xidian.edu.cn(Correspondent:Guo Lingyu)From November 19 to December 17, the “Xidian University Cup” College Tennis Match was successfully heldat the South Tennis Court of South Campus. This match was sponsored bySports Work Committee of Xidian University, undertaken by Tennis Club and co-organized by TennisTribe of Xidian University. More than 200 tennisenthusiasts from 18school participated in this match. The match items include women’s singles, men’s singles and men’s doubles.

After nearly a month of match, the final eight players of women's singles, men's singles and men's doubles were determined. Qin Yun, anundergraduate in 2017 fromSchool of Electronic Engineering, won the champion ship of women's singles; Wu Zihao, anundergraduate in 2018 from School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, won the championship of men's singles. The men’s  chadoublesmpionship was won by the team of Yang Mu, apost graduate  in 2014 from School of Aerospace Science and Technology and Wu Yinhao, anundergraduate in 2016 from School of Mechano-Electonic Engineering. At the same time, 6 students including Sun Guan from the School of Electronic Engineering in 2015 and Yao Youyuan from the School of Micro electronics in 2017 were awarded as Excellent Referee.

Each round of exciting battles and every ball during the match made audience dizzying. The students learned from each other.The tricky angles and the beautiful arcs of tennis bass demonstrated the strength and wisdom of students.Everyone participated in thematch with the momentum of unity and thespirit of “it’s not winning that matters, but friendship”. They enjoyed the match under the referee’s fair evaluation and audience’s witness.

The students’ rich sports quality and good competition atmosphere are fully embodied in this match. It is not only improves their tennis skills, but also allows the students to establish a deeper friendship because of tennis. So far, the 2018“Xidian University Cup” Tennis Match has come to a successful end.
