(I) Basic introduction

Invengo Gymnasium in South Campus of Xidian University, situated at No. 266 of Xinglong Section, Xifeng Road, Xi’an City, was evaluated and approved by Ministry of Education and obtained all construction application procedures such as planning permit, construction permit etc. approved by the local government. Officially starting on July 28, 2015, it was completed, accepted and put into use on June 15, 2017.

As a Class B integrated gymnasium, Invengo Gymnasium is designed by China Northwest Architecture Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., constructed by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., and supervised by Xi’an Pumai Project Management Co., Ltd., with a total investment of RMB 211 million. The main structure of the gymnasium is reinforced concrete frame structure composed of main gym and training gym, covering an total area of 23,509㎡, including 15,392㎡ overground main gym (net height of 17m), 5776㎡ training gym (net height of 10m), 2078㎡ underground civil air defense and equipment room. It holds 5682 seats (including 3692 fixed seats and 1990 movable seats) to organize regional and national individual events and meet the needs of activities, such as sports teaching, training, competition, mass gathering etc. at ordinary times.
